All of the items on our site come with a manufacturer's warranty, but we do understand that sometimes that you would like for that warranty period to be just a little longer. That is why we work with Extend to offer extended warranties!
Extend offers extended warranties on the majority of our products.* These extended warranties cover everything that the manufacturer's warranty covers; to see all of what is included in a product's specific warranty, please look at the warranty information on the manufacturer's site directly or contact the manufacturer directly via phone or email. The extended warranty period begins after the manufacturer's warranty is up. For example, if the manufacturer has a 2 year warranty, and you purchase 2 year extended warranty, your product would be covered for 4 years total.
To purchase an extended warranty, there are a few different places you can add it.
- On the product's page, below the price, there are a few buttons showing options for the extended warranty.
- After adding an applicable product to your cart, you will get a pop-up window asking if you would like to add the extended protective plan onto said product.
- In the cart after an item is added, on the left side of the product there will be another button to add an extended warranty plan.
How does this process work?
- If you contact us to open a warranty claim, we will first verify that you are indeed outside the manufacturer's warranty claim time period. Extend will not help you if you are still within the manufacturer's warranty period. Once this is verified, you will need to contact Extend directly to continue the process.
- Once Extend verifies that the unit is defective, they will issue you a prepaid card. This amount provided will cover the amount that they deem the item to be worth; typically, this is the full amount of the product, but othertimes it will be less if the item has been damaged in a manner that is not within the warranty. That is fully up for Extend to decide, and we unfortunately do not have any way to influence this decision.
Sometimes, Extend will have the warranty period for a product set incorrectly. They may tell you that you are either still within the manufacturer's warranty when you aren't, or that you are too far outside of the warranty window when this is not the case. If this happens, no worries! Just contact us and let us know what Extend has told you. If they have the manufacturer's warranty listed incorrectly in their system, we can reach out to them and have this remedied.
* Items from the bargain bin are not applicable for the extended warranties. If a product on our site is not from the bargain bin but still isn't showing the extended warranty option, please contact us either by phone or email so we may reach out to Extend to see if this can be resolved.
