My #4 bank is showing a “fault” red light. Battery shows 14+ volts with charger leads on. Fuses are good. Replaced battery with new one, still has fault light and 16 volts approx. on meter. What is fault light telling me? Marino Guest 40 amp 4 bank marine charger.
Red Fault LED:
The red Fault LED will illuminate solid ON if there is a loose wiring connection, reverse polarity, DC over-voltage or extremely low DC voltage < 4 VDC condition that is present. For batteries < 4 VDC the battery should be removed and taken to your local battery dealer for testing prior to trying to charge the battery again.
